The Bearkit Challenge encourages all students at DMS to participate in at least one extracurricular activity throughout the school year. Our goal is to reach 100% participation by our student body. This challenge was enacted in the year (2014-15) and designed to increase participant numbers in all activities. At the end of the year, 83% of the student body had become part of at least one activity offered at Douglas Middle School. Research shows that students who are involved both in and outside the classroom reach higher levels of achievement and self-confidence. Parents, please encourage your child to accept the Bearkit Challenge and get involved!
