LiveSchool Codes Are Coming Home Today!
DMS students are bringing home their LiveSchool parent access codes today. These codes allow parents/guardians to connect to LiveSchool and follow their student’s points throughout the year.
What is LiveSchool?

We are pleased to share that phone service has been restored at all CCSD1 schools, and our phone systems are now functioning normally. You may now contact each school directly using the regular school phone numbers.

Our phone service provider has informed us that they are currently experiencing service issues that are impacting phone systems throughout our area. Their technical teams are actively working to identify and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
The provider has advised us that they will notify the District as soon as service has been restored. Until that time, our schools will continue to experience phone service disruptions.
If you need to contact a school, please continue to call the Central Office at 307-358-2942, and our staff will relay your message to the appropriate school or department.

A reminder to all DMS students and families regarding the CCSD1 Student Personal Electronics Policy. Please review the expectations before the first day of school.
All Bearkits and their families are invited to the Douglas Middle School Open House on August 17 from 6:00-7:30pm. Drop in anytime within this window.
6th grade students and their families will start in the DMS Commons area picking up their class schedule. 7th and 8th grade student schedules will be available to pick up in the grade level hallways.
Students whose online enrollment is complete will receive copies of their schedules (Parents can complete online enrollment at open house if necessary).
During open house, students can meet their teachers, fill their lockers, drop off medications with the nurse, put money
in lunch accounts, get required immunizations, and find their classrooms.

We are incredibly proud to share that Douglas Middle School has been recertified as a School of Distinction!
This process happens every 4 years through the association of middle level education. DMS was certified in 2022 and now again in 2026!
This recognition reflects the intentional work happening every day at DMS; the commitment of our staff, the growth and spirit of our students, the partnership of our families, and a school community that believes deeply that Everyone Belongs, Everyone Becomes.
Being recertified reminds us that what makes DMS special isn't one program, one person, or one moment. It is the way our entire Bearkit community continues to show up for kids, grow together, and create a middle school where students can belong and become.
